Goal # 9 – Plan a family outing once a month

Well, this is after the fact, but for August, our outing was to the Zoo.  We went as a family (well, minus my stepmother and my daughter who had had a seizure and needed rest) and had a great day yesterday.   It was unfortunate that S. couldn’t go but well, the seizures take a lot out of her and she really would not have enjoyed it.  The four of us that went were hot and happy by the time we got home.

We got to see the layout for the newest expansion to the zoo, which opens next spring and will be incredible, as well as the wonderful animals already on display.  Our son was much impressed with the “petting zoo” which is no longer much of a “petting” zoo since all you can pet is the goats.  He loved looking at the chickens and rabbits and the cows and pigs…over and over and over
